About

My name is Paul Hébert. I live in Vancouver, British Columbia on unceded Coast Salish territory, but a part of my heart dwells eternally in Lansing, Michigan. I studied History at Concordia University in my hometown of Montreal (B.A. and M.A.) and the University of Michigan (Ph.D.); I wrote my dissertation about Black activism in Montreal in the 1960s. I pay the bills teaching reading, writing, and history to high school students.

I also blog about Garry Trudeau’s Doonesbury at ReadingDoonesbury.com.
